About This Facility

The Ridge Farm & Events | A Peaceful Country Retreat for Horses

A quieter pasture. A slower pace. A beautiful place to call home.

Nestled on approximately seven scenic acres in the beautiful countryside of Shawboro, North Carolina, The Ridge offers a peaceful retreat where horses can enjoy the simple pleasures of country living.

Our charming, intimate equine facilities feature three spacious horse stalls, two connecting pastures, multiple gated access points, and electric horse fencing along the back and side pasture areas. On-site well water is available via a hose connection, providing convenient access for filling water buckets and troughs.

The Ridge is especially appealing to retired horses, senior companions, and horses enjoying a well-deserved slower pace of life. With just three stalls, our small-farm atmosphere offers a refreshing alternative to larger, busier boarding facilities.

We specialize in self-care boarding, allowing owners to remain personally involved in their horse's daily care while enjoying the beauty and tranquility of our countryside setting. For added flexibility, select convenience services may be available by advance arrangement for an additional fee.

Whether your horse is entering its golden years or simply needs a quiet place to enjoy life, The Ridge offers a welcoming country setting with room to roam, peaceful surroundings, and the charm of a family farm.

Because every horse deserves a peaceful place to call home.
